It is easy to reserve the pavilions for events, paying only a small deposit that is refunded after the event, give that the premises are returned in the condition that they were found. There is an easily accessible restroom building, a large playground, a decent amount of walking paths, and functioning charcoal grills available to patrons. The gates are shut at dusk.
Quite with lots of room. Plenty of parking and play areas for kids even on the weekends in the summer.
Quaint, nostalgic, classic. What else would you want from a small town community park? I went there with friends and family throughout my entire childhood, and as an adult, still enjoy going there to walk the dog, play tennis, and have picnics.
We rented out a shelter for my birthday which included a ride on the Railroad. It was a rainy day but we made the best of it and stayed mostly dry under the shelter. They had a nice playground where some of our friends were able to swing along with a friends child. We were able to board the train straight from the park which was very convenient. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice park for a family get together.
The park is well maintained and the foot paths are in great shape. If you want to take a short walk in the woods you can walk into the adjacent Fountain Rock park through a gate in the woods. Very pretty and my dog loves it
Nice park. Playground is perfect for little kids and there are swings and a slide for big kids.
